We are a not-for-profit leisure trust with we have a strong purpose and commitment to support our local communities and hard-to-reach groups encouraging them to become more active, contributing to improved lives. From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

Join our team to coach and develop young athletes! You'll organise ability-based groups, teach core athletic skills, promote fitness and healthy lifestyles, ensure safety, manage session records and support pathways to athletics clubs/talent programs.

Our Coaches have gone on to become Swim Teachers, Gym Instructors, Personal Trainers, Lifeguards and much more! This job is a great way to step into employment in the Leisure, Health and Sport industry.

We have over 100 facilities across England and Wales – many of our staff have built successful careers with us because they love the having a positive impact in their local communities and enjoy the variety that the role provides..

Requirements

Qualifications & Training (or willingness to obtain):

  • First Aid at Work & Defibrillation training (provided if needed)
  • England Athletics Assistant Coach qualification (or working towards)
  • Valid UKA coaching license

Experience:

  • Working with young people (essential)
  • Coaching or assisting in athletics competitions (desirable)
  • Customer service experience in a leisure/sports environment (desirable)

  • Good level of personal health and fitness

Salary: up to £12.51 (Level 1) per hour / up to £18.79 per hour (Level 2)
