Healthy Communities Hastings
Welcome to Healthy Communities Hastings
At Healthy Communities Hastings we partner with local authorities and organisations all over the region to offer a number of activities. We aim to help you and your local community get more active, socialise, and have a great time. Helping to boost your physical and mental wellbeing.
Our Activities
Are you living with a long term health condition?
Freedom Leisure is proud to be supporting a national campaign called 'We Are Undefeatable' which has been designed to inspire and motivate people with long term health conditions to find little ways to move that work for them through the colder weather. Thankfully, there’s plenty of ways to get moving at a Freedom Leisure centre near you - From chair exercises to swimming, it all counts.
We offer support for local athletes
We support local athletes & clubs through our Freedom Leisure Talanted Athlete (FLTAS) scheme to help them with their training and club development. Contact your local Healthy Communities Manager for more information and support on this.
We view our Hastings centres as 'wellness hubs'
Local communities can access an array of health services to support them in taking greater control of their own health and wellbeing. We provide a Healthy Communities programme that provides people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to move more and be active!
We are committed to tackling health inequalities
Our team of Healthy Community specialists design tailored programmes that meet local population needs across the life-course; removing barriers to participation and engaging everyone regardless of background, gender, age, ethnicity, ability or socio-economic status.
Our services are inclusive, accessible and affordable
We believe in;
- Supporting people to be physically active in whatever way suits them
- Supporting individuals to prevent and manage health conditions
- Providing opportunities for positive experiences to support mental-wellbeing
- Preventing social isolation, enabling local communities to come
