Gwen
Hi, I’m Gwen. I have been teaching for nearly 30 years teaching all different ages to swim and I feel very lucky to be in a job I absolutely love. Adult & Child classes are my speciality and I always enjoy teaching our Duckling programme. One of the nicest aspects of this job is observing the children progress right through to our Academy programme, developing their fitness, their swim technique and enjoying socialising with other youngsters in a safe and healthy environment, it’s a privilege to be part of their swim journey. I truly believe everyone can benefit from learning to swim, you’re never too young or too old, we are here to help you.

Hi, I’m Annie. I’ve been teaching for seven years, and I truly love helping children learn essential life skills. My passions include swimming, the outdoors, and spending time with my son. Swimming is such a vital skill, and it brings me joy to see the progress each week.

Hi, I’m Amelia. I’ve been with TLC for the past two years, and I truly enjoy teaching because I love witnessing children progress and achieve their stages. I believe swimming is essential for a child’s development and a vital life skill. In my free time, I’m passionate about traveling and swimming.

Hi, I’m Freya. I’ve been working at Tenterden Leisure Centre for two years, and I’m passionate about teaching swimming. I believe swimming is an essential life skill, and I’m committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and succeed in the water. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, walking my dog, and exploring new outdoor activities. Staying active and connecting with nature brings me joy and fulfilment.
Kirsty
Hi, I’m Kirsty. With a decade of teaching experience, I work with swimmers of all ages, from babies to adults. I find immense joy in observing their development and helping them overcome fears, making swimming a fun and rewarding experience. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about gardening, swimming, and cherishing moments with my children.
Molly
Hi I’m Molly, I’ve been swim teaching at the leisure centre for 2 years now and I love my job. I love to see improvements in the children’s swimming everyday and it’s important to me to highlight the importance of swimming lessons for your children’s safety. It’s a joy to have new children in each week achieving amazing milestones and moving on though the stages of swimming. I love to develop and find new ways to keep the kids engaged during lessons so they gain confidence in and around the water.

Hi, I’m Josh. I’ve been working at the leisure centre for five years. I love teaching swimming because it helps individuals develop essential life skills while promoting confidence and enjoyment in the water. Teaching has also made me more confident in my own abilities. My passions include swimming and going to the gym, which keep me active and motivated.
Lesley
Hi, I’m Lesley. I’ve been working with young people for five years and teaching swimming for four. Having competed in swimming myself, I now find great joy in helping children learn this essential life skill. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to swim, whether to save their own life or someone else’s. I also love spending time outdoors and growing my own vegetables, and I take pride in donating the surplus to the elderly and those who may struggle to afford fresh produce. It brings me immense satisfaction to give back to the community in this way.

Hi I’m Mollee and I love swim teaching. I love to see the children progress onto higher stages and achieve things that they have found difficult. I also think swimming is an important part of a child’s development as it teaches water safety, which is an important life skill.

Hi, I’m Olivia. I’m currently a long-term apprentice at TLC. I love teaching swimming because it helps children build confidence and safety in the water. It's incredibly rewarding to see their progress and improvements each week.

Hi, I’m Rohan. I love swimming and have previously swam competitively, sharing my skills and experience by teaching children how to swim is very for filling, it’s a joy to see children progress and learn a fundamental life skill. My favourite stoke is butterfly. Some call me the King of Butterfly.
