Hatha Yoga shares many similaries with Vinasa Yoga, including many of the same poses. Where the difference lies is with the pacing, Hatha Yoga is performed more slowly with the poses held for longer allowing for more stretching and breathing.
Don't be fooled though, although it is more gentle and therefore perfect for beginnners it is still physically and mentally challenging.
Because of the minimal flow (movement) between poses, the real focus on breathing aims to achieve harmony and balance.
